As titanium block is usually used to further process to other titanium components or parts according to buyers' project,  the sizes or dimensions are usually bespoked per order requirements. Etermetal is a specialised manufacturer of titanium products, producing titanium blocks of different sizes from titanium billets through a series of forging/rolling processes. The advantages and application of titanium block

 Advantages 

Titanium is lightweigth and high strength material with a density about 4.51g/cm3. It is about half of steel , but strength is very high.  Titanium also has excellent crossion resistance. It  can resist the erosion of a cariety of chemical substances, including acid, alkali, salt, etc. It can be used much longer than steel and other metals in the same condition.  What's more, some grades of titanium can bear high temperature and can be used in very rugged environments. 

Applications 

Aerospace: Due to its light weight, high strength and corrosion resistance, it is widely used in the field of aerospace, used for the manufacture of aircraft, rockets, satellites and other key components.

Medical devices: Titanium has good biocompatibility, and can be used to manufacture artificial joints, dental implants and other medical devices.

Chemical industry: The corrosion resistance of titanium makes it an ideal material for chemical equipment and pipelines.

1) What is the price for titanium block? 

   Titanium block price usually depends on the specification, grade, quantity and size, as well as specially treatments.   When ordeing large bulk of blocks(for example above 1000kgs) , the price would be quite competitive, while price will be higher when order quantity less than 50 kgs.  Usually the most popular ASTM B381 F-2 , F-5 titanium forged block price arrange is 17USD to 35USD for medium sizes. 2) What inspections will be done to the blocks?

  Etermetal supply top quality of titanium blocks. The quality control is quite strict from the very begining of production. Every produce process datas are recorded and inspections are done during the whole production from ingot to billet to final products, such as chemical inspection, ultrasonic inspecction, DPI inspection, physical inspection, dimensional inspection, visual inspection, microstructure inspection, surface inspection and so on. 

3) Is there any certificate for the blocks?

Yes, samples  will be taken from the final product and sent to authorized labs to test. Etermetal will supply EN10204 3.1 material test certificate to clients before shipping. Here below are the ISO 9001-2015 quality system certificate certified by BV,  test certificate of material by authorized labs and material certificates of titanium products. 

4) what's the delivery time?

Delivery time depends on ordering quantity. Ready goods within 48 hours. Make to order products will be about 10-20 days for quantity below 1000kgs. Quantity 1001kgs to 3000kgs would be about 35-40 days. 

5) What else services can you supply to titanium blocks? 

   We can also offer value added services such as drill holes, surface polish, saw cutting, water jet cutting, laser cutting , CNC precision machining.
