Etermetal not only supply Gr1 titanium round bar and rod as raw material, but also supply other services such as grinding, chamfer, drill hole, CNC machine.  

Most of the time, buyers do not have special request on tolerance in diameter. Then we will follow the requirements on standards and supply the round bars and rods. The surface is peeled or lathed smooth and bright, without burs and cracks. When there is special request on tolerance, grind and polish service will be served. At present, Etermetal can produce the titanium round bars with a minimum tolerance of 0.05mm for round bars diameter 30mm and above.  H7, H8, H9, h7, h8, h9 tolerance in diameter is available. Under this condition, the surface of the grade 1 round bar and rod is quite smoother and brighter than peeled ones. As more time cost with this kind of tolerance and surface, the price of bars would be slightly higher than peeled ones.    

When grade 1 titanium round rod and rod is cut, the ends will be sharp. So Etermetal has chamfer service which chamfer the ends of bars and rods smoother and machined the burs. Most of the time, the chamfer size would be 1mm * 45°. When buyers' have requirements, chamfer will follow the order requirements.  

Drilling hole and CNC machining on grade 1 titanium round bar is a special service. Etermetal's clients sometimes would like us do some processes for them. We are glad to help drill holes and CNC machine the bars for our clients and supply them some semi-finished components.

Lathe titanium round bar After forging and rolling, there is an oxide layer on titanium round bars. We will use lathe to peel this layer and make sure the surface is brigh enough. You can see that in the image, the titaium round bar is on the lathe and it is alreay bight. But to meet the tolerance requirements, it is peeled slowly. This process is the same for any size of titanium round bar. For smaller tolerance, lathe is not enought. Grinding and polishing will be used.

Ultrasonic Testing  (UT) for titanium round bar The titanium round bars Etermetal suppling are all UT inspected/tested. Visual testing and DPT testing can found the outside cracks or damge of titanium round bar. After workers visual test and DPT test, our engineer will ultrasonic test the inner of the round bars to see if they are qualified or not.  Any round bar has damage inside will be pick out. Only qualified ones will be packed and shipped to buyers.

Do you have certifications for material?

Yes, Etermetal supply MTC certificate along with material which include the test data of material chemical composition, physical properties, and other test results.
