Threaded titanium rod is a titanium threaded connector with high strength, low density, corrosion resistance and other excellent properties. The density of titanium is 4.51g/cm³, only half of steel, but has excellent tensile properties and yield strength, which makes the titanium alloy threaded rod in the guarantee of high strength and at the same time has a lighter weight, easy to install and transport. In addition, titanium alloy has good corrosion resistance, can resist a variety of corrosive media erosion, can greatly extend its service life. In addition, titanium alloy also has very good biocompatibility, in the human body tissue will not occur rejection reaction, in the medical field has been widely used.

There are many grades of titanium can be used to produce threaded titanium rods according to the application.

1) Grade 1 titanium ( also called Gr1): has excellent corrosion resistance, low density and good workability, widely used in chemical, marine, shipbuilding, food industry, etc. It is also suitable for the manufacture of titanium threaded rods that require corrosion resistance and lightweight characteristics.

2)Grade 2 (GR2)Titanium, pure titanium grade, slightly less pure than TA1, with good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, relatively low price, widely used in ships, chemical equipment and pharmaceutical equipment and other fields, is also suitable for the production of titanium threaded rods with certain requirements for strength and corrosion resistance.

3)Grade 5, (Gr5, or Ti 6Al-4V) titanium, α + β type titanium alloy, containing 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium, with good mechanical properties, high strength, good corrosion resistance and toughness, widely used in aerospace, automotive, medical equipment and other fields, is also suitable for making titanium threaded rods.

4)Gr7 titanium, with 0.12% to 0.25% palladium added, makes Gr7 titanium alloy show excellent corrosion resistance in most media, including seawater, acids, alkalis and other strong corrosive environments.

The specifications of titanium threaded rod usually include parameters such as diameter, length, and thread specifications. Specific specifications can be customised according to customer needs. Common diameters range from a few millimetres to tens of millimetres, while lengths depend on the needs of the application. Thread specifications follow international or industry standards, such as BSW, UNC, MM, UNF, and so on. The following table shows the specifications of commonly used standard titanium threaded rods.
