Application of titanium

Titanium has high strength. The tensile strength of pure titanium can up to 180 kg/mm². Some steels are stronger than the titanium alloy, but the specific strength of titanium (ratio of tensile strength to density) exceeds that of the high-quality steel. Titanium alloy has good heat resistance strength, low temperature toughness and fracture toughness, so it is mostly used as aircraft engine parts, rocket and missile structural parts. Titanium alloy can also be used as fuel and oxidant storage tanks and high-pressure containers. Titanium can also use for military application. In the oil industry, titanium is mainly for a variety of containers, reactors, heat exchangers, distillation towers, pipes, pumps and valves. Titanium can be used as a condenser for electrodes and power stations and as an environmental pollution control device. Titanium-nickel memory alloy has been widely used in instrumentation. In medical treatment, titanium can be made as artificial bones and various instruments. Titanium dioxide is a good ingredient for pigments and paint. Titanium carbide (hydrogen) is a new carbide carbide material. Titanium nitride is colored close to gold and is widely used in decoration.

Titanium and titanium alloys are widely used in the aviation industry, which is known as "space metal", and they are increasingly widely used in shipbuilding industry, chemistry industry, manufacturing mechanical components, telecommunications equipment, carbide carbide and so on.

In addition, because the titanium alloy is also very compatible with the human body, so the titanium alloy can also be made as artificial bone.
