What's the difference between titanuim screw and titanium bolt?

Bolt and screw are regarded as synonyms of eather. Sometimes it seems that there is no difference between them as they all can be screwed into a threaded hole or fastened by a suitable nut. But actually, there is tiny differences between them.

1) a titanium screw is usually fully threaded to the head. A titanium bolts usually not threaded partly under the head.

2) farsten method. a self-tapping titanium screw can produce thread hole by itself, while other screws are tightened by screwdriver to screwed into a threaded hole. The length of the screw is usually shorter than the deepth of the hole so that it won't proturde on to the other side. Bolts are designed to be fastened with a suitable nut. The bolt will be put into a hole, which is not threaded, and is fixed and tightened by a nut. You can see this kind of usage in many titanium flanges and pipe connection parts.  In this condition, the blot must be longer than the deepth of the hole so that it can be protrude through to the other side to screw into the nut.

3) strength. The unthreaded portion of the titanium bolt adds the strength.  It makes the titanium bolt resiste more forces than titanium screws.

3) fasten and unfasten. A screwdriver is enough to fasten & unfasten the titanium screw. While a titanium bolt will be used a spanner or other tolls to grip the head and at the same time the nut needs to be tightened too.
